Repayment deadline approaches for APP and CLP producers

GUELPH, Ontario – Agricultural Credit Corporation (ACC) is reminding producers participating in the 2025 Advance Payments Program (APP) for storable commodities and the 2025 Commodity Loan Program (CLP) that loan repayments are due by September 29, 2026.
The deadline marks the End of Production Period (EOPP) for storable commodities under the 2025 program year. Due to the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation falling on September 30, repayments are due on the last business day preceding the holiday.
Unlike APP advances, which may have varying production periods depending on the commodity, all 2025 CLP loans are due on September 29, 2026. CLP loans have a single annual repayment date occurring at the end of September in the year following the program year.
The APP is a Government of Canada initiative that provides eligible producers with access to cash advances on a wide range of agricultural commodities, helping support farm cash flow throughout the production cycle.
The CLP provides short-term financing using eligible agricultural commodities as security, giving producers additional flexibility in managing working capital and marketing their products.

Repayment options include pre-authorized debit, wire transfer, cheque, or online banking (payee: Agricultural Credit Corporation).

Applications for the 2027 APP and CLP will be available starting November 1, 2026. Interested producers are encouraged to contact an ACC representative for additional information.
